image003 Cary Players presents Together on Center StageCary Players is proud to once again offer this unique program for individuals of all abilities and ages.? Together On Center Stage (TOCS) provides a performing arts opportunity for each member of the group regardless of their level of experience or ability.? This program promotes inclusion and is dedicated to developing social and performance skills, building self-esteem, discipline, responsibility, and? positive values through the creative arts.

This six week program will be held at Hope Community Church, 821 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh (near Crossroads Shopping area), Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:45-8:45pm beginning May 8.? There will also be one Saturday session on June 9, 9:15am-11:15am.? On the last week ? the sessions are Tues, WED (instead of Thursday) an open dress rehearsal, and the show will be on Friday June 15 ? with a fun cast party following the performance.

Cost for the program participants is $40. The performance on June 15 is free for family, friends and the community, although we will have a donation box available for those who wish to give a gift toward this program.? The venue seats between 200-300 persons so there will be no reservations needed.

The format and structure of the program will differ slightly from those in the past. But, in keeping with the mission of TOCS ? all participants and volunteers will be welcomed in a safe and caring environment, and create their own production.? We are limiting this program to 18 participants and 5 volunteers (who will have specific tasks).? Volunteers are preferably not related to a participant and have a theater background and/or experience working with a diverse population.

Alan Rosen will direct the program and both Gary Zwerin and Laura Ferrigno will produce.? Two meetings are being offered for interested participants/parents/volunteers/members of Cary?s Teen Council (teens aged 13+).? These meetings will be held at Hope Community Church on Wednesday April 18 and Thursday April 19th, at 7:00pm.? You only need to attend one, and former participants need not attend at all.? Sign up for the program at either of these meetings, or by emailing Alan Rosen ? alan@caryplayers.org.? To reserve space for the introduction meetings please also email Alan before April 14.
